The Art of Music National Tours Concert Series is a progressive endeavor focusing on merging Independent Artists with Theaters and small venues across the nation. Our goal is to strengthen and support Community Theaters and to develop a strong and growing audience for Independent music.

The Art of Music National tours will present three nationally known touring artists from around the U.S. Each venue wil offer three different genres of music per show. Artists will perform a 35 minute set and then all three join together at the end of the performance to showcase together in song. Through grants and foundations, the artists will be compensated for the work they do. In return, the ticket sales from each performance will go directly back to the theaters to be used for marketing of their next Independent music program. Each artist is also available to offer workshops in Voice, Instrument, Songwriting, the spoken word and Storytelling.

The Art of Music Live Concert Series will continue to provide over 40 shows per year for residents and visitors of Door County. The arts are such an important part of our community, not only providing entertainment but also bringing education and culture to all. The Art of Music Live provides the perfect vehicle for both established and emerging artists to reach their audiences. Since its birth in 2004, and its rebirth in 2007 as a not-for-profit organization, The Art of Music Live has featured the best of local, national and international folk, blues, jazz, country, alternative and world music, while adapting to several transformations. At the end of the 2007 summer season, the board of directors revised our mission and goals and The Art of Music Live began utilizing a variety of venues, providing the highest quality of international touring musicians for each event, and seeking collaborations with many diverse groups. 2007-2008 marked The Art of Music Live "portable" season, and this latest incarnation allows for great opportunities. We are able to use some of the nicest facilities in the county as we match each original performance to the appropriate venue. We hope you will join us in supporting the independent artists and their originality as they continue to enrich our lives. It is the mission of The Art of Music Live to enhance the cultural life of our community by providing the highest quality performances, and a diversity of the performing arts. Featuring 25 performances during the summer months, The Art of Music Live will also host 16 performances throughout the fall and winter through The Art of Music Winter Concert Series at the music room at the Ladder House in Sturgeon Bay.
